About the project

Longer Tables, an ambitious initiative aimed at fostering community connection in Denver, enlisted The Blank Company to create a compelling brand identity and promotional merchandise for their groundbreaking event. The challenge was immense: to design branding that encapsulated the spirit of unity and togetherness, while coordinating an event that brought together 528 strangers for a dinner in the heart of the city. With the vision to eventually expand this to a mile-long table seating 5,280 people, the stakes were high to set a strong, resonant foundation.

Approach

Understanding the core values of Longer Tables—connection, community, and inclusivity—our team dove into creating a brand identity that would resonate deeply with the citizens of Denver. We developed a visual theme that symbolized unity and the convergence of diverse backgrounds at a single table. The logo and design motifs reflected Denver’s urban and natural landscapes, serving as a visual metaphor for bringing together the city’s eclectic populace.

We also designed and produced free merchandise that not only served as a keepsake for participants but also as a tool to spread the message of the event. This merchandise proved crucial in building anticipation and visibility for the event.

With the support of Southwest Airlines as a major sponsor, we were able to amplify our efforts, ensuring that the event not only succeeded in its immediate goal but also laid the groundwork for the future mile-long table event. Our strategic branding efforts helped transform this bold idea into a tangible and memorable experience, paving the way for what promises to be an even more impressive gathering in the heart of Denver. More updates on this monumental project are expected soon.
